-CHAINS-

"Chains" is a collection of poems divided into five parts. Part one, "Chains," deals with attachment. The poems in "Fragments of a Shattered Life" examine break-up and loss. "Poems of Letting Go" explore acceptance and surrender. "Mythologies" tries to explain personal experience within mythical contexts while "Snapshots" aims to describe places, people and experiences dear to the poet.

In a city foreign to us both,
on a cold damp night with shooting stars
we walked through the universal flood
to end up in each other’s arms

My shawl was wet, my feet were soaked
the petals of your lips
like roses touched my heart
and etched your name in my vocabulary.
